Abstract: India has more than 3,500 EdTech start-ups. By 2018, the EdTech industry had around $700 million worth funding. According to a report on “Online education in India – 2021” by KPMG, the industry is expected to be worth $1.96 billion. EdTech conveys to students a host of options for interactive learning. Amongst the choices include video on coding and technology, competitive exam preparations, language learning courses, gamification of the learning journey, and on-demand tutor discovery. This report focuses on the people's awareness and the factors influencing the purchase decision for buying K-12 Courses. The study suggests that the awareness level related to EdTech is very high. The people opting for k-12 courses are focusing on the Brand name and language of the Course instead of the course duration and the commonly misperceived availability of the certificate. Course price is also among the factors that influence the customer's decision while making purchase of a K-12 course.
