Brief Information- Avadhut Patwardhan works as an Assistant Professor at the K J Somaiya Institute of Management, Somaiya Vidyavihar University (SVU), Mumbai, India. His domain of specialisation is Marketing. His primary responsibilities are to deliver courses related to his domain (Marketing Management, Integrated Marketing Communication, consumer Behaviour, International Marketing, B2B Marketing and Sales Management). He likes to use case studies and designs relevant activities for student engagement as a part of pedagogy. He has trained himself for such pedagogical techniques by attending seminar organized by Harvard Business Publishing and IIM-A case center.

Highest Qualification- Avadhut pursued his doctoral degree as a full-time research scholar from National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Mumbai a premier institute now known as Indian Institute of Management Mumbai, India. His research interest is Technology Adoption. His preferred methodology of research is Empirical Approach. The preferred techniques that he use for data analysis is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). He can deal with AMOS and PLS-SEM in R software.

Research Capacity and Interests- His research interests are to examine technology adoption of various technologies, with special reference to developing economies like India. He is also an aspiring candidate for Post-doctoral position in the area of services marketing in general and service quality in specific. Recently, he is emphasising on examining impact of ESERVQUAL determinants on perceived values amongst the Ola and Uber users. For addressing the pre-defined research questions, he mainly prefers theory testing or theory development approach and focuses on primary data collected from the customers using self-administered or online questionnaire.

Research Publications and Outcomes- He has published research papers in the journals of international repute like Journal of Medical Marketing and the International Journal of Healthcare Management. He has co-authored two articles with his dissertation supervisor and mentor out of which one got published in International Journal of Product Development and other one is published by International Journal of Electronic Banking. He has also co-authored a case study published at the Case-center.

Awards and Recognition- Received Best Thesis award during a competition held by Prestige Institute of Management, Gwalior, India.
