ABVP Somaiya & NSS Somaiya units are organizing Mission Sahasi: Making of the fearless: a self-defense training programme for girls. 

Mission Sahasi first phase trained 8000+ girls in Mumbai at MMRDA ground of BKC, where the CM of Maharashtra Mr. Devendra Fadanvis & Bollywood actress Ms. Ravina Tandon was present.

This phase of Mission Sahasi will be preceded by a three-hour training module for 2000+ girls of Somaiya Campus.  The program will have Mr. Anup Dethe Sir (Bagged silver medal in 10th South Asian games Colombo, Shrilanka-2006 & National champion 2002-2011, etc) as a trainer who is known for his inclination towards #SocialChange & #Womenempowerment.

We would like the girls studying at Somaiya campus to please attend the program and learn something new. The girls will get to learn the basics of how to quickly disable and protect themselves from an attacker so that they can escape. Also, training in self-defense helps people, especially women, develop more confidence in themselves and their surroundings. Knowing that you have the ability to defend yourself gives you the confidence and freedom to fully explore the world, meet new people and find new ways to engage with others.
