Centre for Sustainable Development

Centre for Sustainable Development was established as an advanced research centre at K.J. Somaiya Institute of Management in the year 2012. The broad objective of the centre is to promote and conduct research in the inter-disciplinary areas related to sustainable development.

Objectives

  • To develop and implement sustainability practices within the campus and society at large
  • To conduct and promote research in the inter-disciplinary areas of sustainable development
  • To collaborate and interact with researchers within and outside the institute working in similar areas
  • To undertake research projects and consultancy assignments and liasoning with government, industries, and other stakeholders to promote sustainable development
  • To disseminate finding through classroom lectures, workshops, and conferences
